You decided to go with your initial gut feeling, or maybe it was a sense of curiosity. You hadn't asked Cindy for help yet as you tried to figure out everything by yourself. You played the game a couple of times and seemed to have reached bad endings, but then things flipped and soon it became more of a horror game with an increasing degree of apparent self-awareness.

After a couple of tries all leading to a similar, ominous-looking bad ending of sorts, you reset one more time, playing the game as it was intended, making choices that you meant and then, when faced with that apparent bad ending, you found out a way to get past it.

By the look of things, this seemed to be the actual ending to the game, though unlike the true endings that you knew on other games, this one felt rather bittersweet and maybe even incomplete, which fed your suspicion that there were still things that you had missed. And thus, you found yourself opening the game once more, to try and see if there is more to this ending.

Last time you had opened the game, it didn't even properly go into the game's menu anymore, but simply got a heartfelt note from the former club president Monika, who had chosen to delete herself and restored everything back, and this was after what seemed more like the proper ending with the rest of the girls, but it still felt incomplete.

You stared at the screen, wondering what to do, and even Alt Tabbing out of the game to check the main folder, since that was how you were able to get past certain things before, by manipulating the game's files themselves but this time there was nothing new. You went back to the game window and saw that a a single choice with only one option appeared, one that you hadn't seen before.

"Go back" It read, rather cryptic like many other things in this game. But since you hadn't seen this prompt last time, you clicked it and when you did, the game seemingly reset back to the very beginning. And yet something felt different, like the game was going more fluidly and the music sounded like it was higher quality than before. As you went back to the first day with Sayori, it seemed like she wasn't showing the subtle hints of her depression anymore.

'Could this be? Did I finally break out of that ending loop?' You thought, following along with the game. It was still largely as you knew it and since there was no indication towards making any specific choices, when you were prompted to go after one of the girls' affections, you went for Yuri, just as you'd done on the last playthrough, making the choices as you meant them instead of just pursing paths to unlock endings.

You would've been embarrassed to admit this out loud to anyone except maybe Cindy but of all the Doki girls, she was the one you liked best, Monika was a close second but she wasn't even an option at first and then, with her reveal of being more or less the game's own villain, you weren't too sure how to feel about her, though you felt bad for her as you reached the apparent true ending, even understanding her motives to some extent. It was a bit weird, never a videogame character had gotten you to think things this hard and to even consider your feelings but then again, that was like one of the points of this whole thing.

You went through the rest of the game and, confirming your suspicions, the dialogues were a tad different, it seemed even more lighthearted than before. Some more funny scenes were added and your character got teased for spending so much time with Yuri. The in-game days flew and as the famed school festival approached, you got to a moment where there was nobody in the club room other than yourself and Yuri.

Most surprisingly, she confessed her feelings to you, which in itself nearly gave you a mini-heart attack, remembering how she brutally ended her own life in her frenzied craze last time. But then again, it had been implied that she had been heavily corrupted by Monika, which this time she was not. You also found it odd that she said a similar line, that her poem for you had been infused with her scent, though this time, thankfully, there was no blood nor any other fluids to be seen on the paper, other than some vague hints of moisture.

You were a bit afraid but decided to accept her confession, wondering where this would lead you since this had been one of those points of no return during the earlier bad routes.

Meanwhile, a shadowy presence manifested behind you, with those two iridescent eyes as the only thing visible amidst the pure black that shrouded it. A shark-like grin could be seen next as it extended one of its arms, aiming in your direction. Then, without any warning at all, a reddish and golden lightning-like bolt shot out from its fingers, striking your computer's monitor, engulfing it with its power.

"What the hell?!" You almost jumped back, startled by the lightning that apparently came out of nowhere. The strange, almost otherworldly-looking energy soon engulfed your computer's CPU proper. You had no idea what was happening but you thought it'd be best to unplug it but when you reached for the cable, you got zapped by this very same electrical-looking energy and everything went dark...

An unknown amount of time later...

You woke up, feeling as if you'd been run over by a truck. You wondered if that was just some wild bad dream, it was scary, you almost felt like you'd died. It definitely felt too real, your heart was still pounding hard. You yawned and stretched your arms, then rubbed your eyes and much to your surprise, you found out that you weren't in your room anymore! But the better question is, where were you now?
